WORCESTER – A new grant program for restaurants seeking to expand outdoor dining offerings launches Monday in Worcester.
The City of Worcester is starting the Outdoor Dining Grant Program thanks to $50,000 in donations from the Worcester Business Development Corporation, Unity Bank and Fidelity Bank.
The program will run for two weeks — from April 5 through Friday, April 16, and will provide up to $2,000 per business.
The grant funds can be used to cover costs associated with outdoor dining, such as tables, chairs, barriers and more.
A grant application will be available on the City of Worcester website starting Monday.
Last week, Worcester’s License Commission approved an extension of the City’s Temporary Outdoor Dining Program to January 1, 2022.
