Worcester Pedestrian Crash Sends 55-Year-Old Man to Hospital

WORCESTER – A pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Southbridge St. in the morning of Thursday, January 21, sent a 55-year-old man to the hospital.

Around 6:45 AM, Worcester Police responded to the area of 725 Southbridge St. and located the man on the ground. EMS transported the man to a local hospital with head and leg injuries.

The Worcester Police Crash Reconstruction Team believes that the man exited a WRTA bus and attempted to cross the street without using a crosswalk.

A 2014 Subaru Legacy, operated by a 63-year-old female, collided with the man as he crossed the double yellow line.

The woman remained at the scene after the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
