WORCESTER – A man and woman were arrested on Wednesday on Main Street in Worcester on multiple charges, including drugs and firearm possession.
Worcester Police Vice Squad officers executed a search warrant at a Main Street address around 6:40 PM. Police had been previously conducting surveillance at the address.
Upon entering the residence, officers detained three individuals and began their search. Police say they located a loaded Remington shotgun, multiple bags of what appeared to be cocaine, a bag of what appeared to be heroin, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia and packaging materials.
Jahaira Colon, 42, and David Aviles, 41, were placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking in a Class B Substance 37-99 Grams, Possession of a Class A Substance with intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Use of a Firearm while Committing a Felony, and Improper Storage of a Firearm.
Colon and Aviles will be arraigned in court.
