WORCESTER – The deadline for registering for the 2023 municipal elections was May 31 and the City of Worcester has published results.
Preliminary elections take place on Sept. 5. Four races for district city councilor and one for district school committee will appear on ballots in those districts. Preliminary elections are held for district seats in only those districts where over two candidates have qualified for the ballot. Only the two candidates with the most votes on Sept. 5 will appear on the general election ballot on Nov. 7.

This is the first municipal election for the newly construct school committee districts. In previous elections, all school committee seats were elected at-large. Those currently serving on the school committee are noted as incumbents.
