WORCESTER – Maybe the Worcester renaissance isn’t happening as quickly as we all think.
According to a report by the data experts at Wallethub, Worcester ranks among the slowest growing cities in terms of economic growth in the United States.
The report — 2018’s Fastest Growing Cities in America — ranks Worcester #435 of 515 cities across America according to economic growth and decline over a period of seven years. The reports ranges from population growth to unemployment rate decrease to growth in the regional GDP per capita.
In addition to the overall ranking, each city has individual rankings for “sociodemographics” and “jobs & economy,” with Worcester ranking #407 and #433, respectively.
