WORCESTER – The City of Worcester has been ranked in the top 100 most diverse city in America out of more than 500 U.S. Cities, according to a new report from Wallethub.
The report — 2019’s Most Diverse Cities in America — ranks Worcester #96 overall out of 501 cities. Wallethub compared each city across five major diversity categories: household diversity, religious diversity, socioeconomic diversity, cultural diversity and economic diversity.
Through a particular methodology used by Wallethub, Worcester achieved a diversity score of 67.3 [the most diverse city, Houston, Texas, received a score of 71.6] and were attributed overall rankings for each diversity category: socioeconomic [#245], cultural [#78], economic [#404], household [#170], and religious [#286].

Among midsize cities in America, Worcester ranked #29 out of 143 cities with populations between 100,000 to 300,000 residents.
