Worcester Red Sox Celebration to Hit City Hall on Monday Night

WORCESTER – The City of Worcester will be hosting a Worcester Red Sox celebration on Monday, Sept. 17 following Wednesday night’s City Council vote in favor of a deal negotiated between the City and the Pawtucket Red Sox ownership group to move the team to Worcester.

The party will take place at 5 PM and will feature appearances by Boston Red Sox legends and players from the PawSox.

The event will be broadcast live on Charter TV3 (channel 193) and on the City of Worcester Government Channel (channel 192) as well as Unity Radio 102.9 FM.

Immediately following the ceremony on the Worcester Common Oval, the Canal District Alliance will hold a Block Party from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with food, games and entertainment for the whole family as well as a fireworks display at 7:30 p.m.
