Worcester School Committee meeting Thursday night will be a hearing on only one issue, School Choice. The Committee is meeting at 6:45 PM in the Council Chamber at City Hall to discuss programs that give students options to attend schools outside of the district in which they live.
To comply with Massachusetts Open Meeting Law, that will be the only issue taken up by the Committee.

According to Worcester Public Schools, the agenda for tonight’s meeting was not published to the City of Worcester website. Tonight’s intended agenda will be included into its meeting on May 2.
Massachusetts law on open public meetings requires that “a public body shall post notice of every meeting at least 48 hours prior to such meeting.”
Due to the fact that the full 2nd agenda (#8) for this evening was inadvertently not posted on the City of Worcester website, the meeting on that agenda cannot be held due to the Open Meeting Law. The agenda will be included as part of the May 2nd meeting.
