WORCESTER – At least half of a foot of snow is expected to fall in Worcester beginning tonight and ending Sunday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, Worcester could see as much as eight inches of snow fall beginning at 8 PM on Saturday night.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued by the NWS, advising residents to prepare for difficult travel, heavy snow, and significant reductions in visibility. The warning is in effect from 7 PM tonight to 7 AM on Sunday.

According to the forecast later in the week, however, the snow isn’t expected to stay long as Tuesday and Wednesday will see temperatures in the mid-60s.
