WORCESTER – The City of Worcester announced on Tuesday, June 8, that the Worcester Senior Center at 128 Providence St. will reopen on Tuesday, June 15.
The Senior Center closed in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Worcester City Manager Ed Augustus said renovations at the facility include a reconstructed parking lot, a rain garden and an AARP FitLot.
The Senior Center offers programs and services Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. Virtual programs broadcast on Worcester Government Channel 192, Facebook and YouTube.
The Senor Center Facebook page will update with program scheduled when they become available. Information may also be obtained by emailing [email protected] or calling 508-799-1232.
The Senior Center hosts a vaccination clinic for seniors and their caregivers on Thursday, June 17, 10 AM to 12:30 PM. Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available. No appointment is required.
