WORCESTER – Police responded to the parking lot of Big Y on Mayfield Street around 2:45 AM on January 15 in response to a report of a gunshot victim.
Officer arrived at the scene to find a 17-year-old female with gunshot injuries. Officers provided medical attention until EMS transported the teen to a local hospital.
At the hospital, medical personnel declared the teen dead at 3:23 AM.
The Worcester Police Department says the incident does not appear to be a random occurrence.
