WORCESTER – Worcester Police officers arrested 32-year-old Jesus Hernandez on Tuesday evening for attempting to sell crack cocaine on Pleasant St.
According to the Worcester Police Department [WPD], officers witnessed Hernandez approach a small group of males outside of 272 Pleasant St around 6 PM. One male had money in his hand and was counting the currency before disappearing behind a stairwell with Hernandez.
Officers observed the male reappear and clutching a small object in his left hand. Hernandez placed money in his pocket and parted ways with the other man.
Officers determined that Hernandez had just engaged in a drug deal and he was stopped and placed under arrest. Officers found nine small bags of crack cocaine and more than $700 in cash on Hernandez. He was placed under arrest and charged with Distribution of a Class B Substance, and Possession of Class B with Intent to Distribute. He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
