WORCESTER – On Wednesday evening, members of the Worcester Police Department [WPD] Vice Squad arrested four individuals for possession of heroin following two street level drug transactions at the Webster Square Plaza.

According to the WPD, officers arrested Julia Herne, 43, of 16 June St, Walpole and Wayne Bedard, 51, of 25 Barrows Rd., Worcester, following a transaction in which Herne left her vehicle, proceeded to enter a silver car and then returned to her vehicle after a drug transaction took place.

Shortly after Herne exited the silver car, 39-year-old Shane Ahlman of 11 Riverview St., Hudson, also entered the silver car’s passenger seat, and then after one minute, exited the car and entered a blue Subaru.

WPD Vice officers split up and stopped both vehicles. Herne and Bedard were arrested following the stop of Herne’s vehicle. Both were charged with Possession of Class A Substance.

The blue Subaru was also stopped and Ahlman, along with the driver, Justin Leone, 24, of 495 Hudson Road, Sudbury, were arrested for possession of two open plastic baggies of heroin and cocaine. Ahlman also had a loaded needle and an additional bag of heroin on the passenger floor by his feet. They were arrested and charged with Possession of Class A Substance and Possession of Class B Substance.

All four will be arraigned on Thursday at the Worcester County District Courthouse. Officers continue to search and hope to identify the driver of the small silver vehicle.
