WPD Investigating Stabbing of 26-year-old Woman on Main St. 1

WORCESTER – The Worcester Police Department [WPD] is investigating the stabbing of a 26-year-old woman on Main St. early Thursday morning.

According to the WPD, around 1:39 AM, officers responded to 995 Main St. for a reported stabbing. Officers found the female victim sitting on a sidewalk next to McDonald’s. She was suffering from a single stab wound.

The victim was transported to a hospital accompanied by a police officer.

According to witnesses, the victim was arguing with a male —  Hispanic, 5’8” tall and appeared to have short facial hair wearing a dark colored jacket and dark pants. The argument became physical and the victim fell to the ground. The male suspect was last seen running up Freeland St.

The victim is in stable condition with injuries that are considered to be non-life threatening.
