DUDLEY – The Dudley Police Department, Dudley Fire Department and EMS Personnel responded to a single car crash at the intersection of Schofield Ave. and New Boston Rd. on Friday, September 18.
First responders arrived at the scene shortly before midnight to find a 2008 Jeep Commander overturned. A 17-year-old driver from Thompson, CT, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
According to Dudley Police, investigators believe alcohol played a role in the crash and expect to file charges.
The driver was not seriously injured and transported to Harrington Hospital at Hubbard for treatment.
Investigators believe the vehicle was traveling south on Schofield Rd. when it left the roadway and struck an embankment, leading to the rollover.
