WORCESTER – The Worcester Police Vice squad had a search warrant for a grey Saturn SUV when a report came in for a similar vehicle speeding through Hope Cemetery around 6:15 on Thursday, July 1.
Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop near Lincoln Plaza.
The passenger in the vehicle, Omar Mohamud, 19, of Worcester, had an existing warrant for his arrest. Police placed him under arrest.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located packages of what appeared to be heroin and cocaine. A small scale and other items consistent with selling drugs were also located.
Police arrested Mohamud and the driver, Tyree Williams, 19, of Worcester. Both face charge of Trafficking in Heroin 37-99 grams and Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute.
