FITCHBURG – Police arrested three men, one for murder, in connection with that fatal stabbing of Robert Wright-Day, 20, of Leominster, on Tuesday, May 7.
At around 1 AM on tuesday, Leominster Police responded to a report of a stabbing at Riverside Village Apartments on State Street. Officers located Wright-Day suffereing from a stab wound. He was transported to Leominster Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
On Thursday, May 9, police arrested Juan Diaz Contreras, 19, of Fitchburg, on a warrant related to a stabbing. He faces a murder charge.
Edgar Perez-Tuero, 21, of Gardner, and Christian Joel Santiago, 19, of Leominste were also arrersted in connection with the stabbing. Both men face charges of assault and battery.
All three men were arraigned on Friday at Fitchburg District Court.
