WORCESTER – Police arrested four men on Wednesday, May 22, after they fled first in a vehicle, then on foot.
According to the Worcester Police Department, at around 7:30 PM, detectives with the Crime Gun Intelligence Unit identified a vehicle known to be stolen from the Webster Street area. The detectives initiated a traffic stop, and the vehicle pulled over.
As detectives approached the vehicle, the driver quickly backed up and rammed the cruiser on the passenger door. An officer was pinned by the door.
The vehicle then fled the scene.
A short time later, police located the vehicle on Crystal Street. The four men inside the vehicle all fled on foot into the surrounding neighborhood, but were apprehended.
All four men face charges.
Arthur Cordero, 19, of Worcester, faces charges of:
- Trespass;
- Disorderly Conduct;
- Disturbing the Peace;
- Failure to Stop for Police;
- Operating to Endanger;
- Leaving the Scene of Property Damage; and
- Use without authority.
Devondre Cooper, 22, George Nguerassen, 20, and Xavier Damion Johson, all of Worcester, face charges of:
- Trespass;
- Disorderly Conduct; and
- Disturbing the Peace.
