UXBRIDGE – A two-vehicle crash on Route 146 in Uxbridge on Friday led to the death of a driver.
Massachusetts State Police responded to reports of a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lane of Route 146 on Friday , shortly before 10:30 PM. Before Troopers arrived at the scene, reports indicated a crash occurred around a half-mile prior to the Rhode Island state border .
According to Massachusetts State Police, a 2006 Chrysler 300, operated by a 42-year-old Douglas man, was traveling south in the northbound lane when a occurred involving a 2009 Mazda CXS.
The a 57-year-old Worcester man driving the Mazda sustained minor injuries.
The man driving the Chrysler sustained serious injuries. Lifeflight responded and transported the man to UMass Memorial Hospital where later died.
All lanes of Route 146 were closed as a result of the crash. Full access was restored around 1 AM.
The investigation of crash is ongoing.
