WORCESTER – Police officers on patrol in the Pleasant Street area around 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 18, say they saw a man operating a dirt bike on the sidewalk and forcing pedestrians to move out of his way.
Police followed the rider, Shane Jackson, 42, of Worcester, into a local business and detained him. Police soon discovered that Jackson’s license to operate a motor vehicle was suspended.
According to Worcester Police, an officer touched the outside of a fanny pack worn by Jackson and felt what they believed was a firearm. Officers located a loaded, large capacity handgun inside the fanny pack.
Jackson does not have a license to carry firearms.
Jackson faces charges of:
Disorderly Conduct, Operation after Suspension of License, Unlawfully Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
