Worcester Police Put Up Giving Tree
The Worcester Police Department has put up their annual Christmas giving tree to help local children in need this holiday season.
The WPD is asking their officers and staff members to sponsor a child or children by selecting an ornament from the tree. The WPD aims to provide gifts to more than 500 kids this Christmas.
The lists of children who need a sponsor were provided to the police through local organizations and agencies.
This isn’t just any tree…each ornament represents a local child in need. WPD is preparing to give presents to more than 500 kids. Local organizations provided us with lists of children who need a sponsor and WPD is hoping to make their wishes come true. #holidayseason pic.twitter.com/Y4M69HPWnw
