COVID-19 Vaccinations for WPS Students Starts Today
Starting Monday, Nov. 8, vaccines will be administered at all Worcester Public Schools for students ages 5-up, with parental consent.
Forms are being sent home with students. For convenience, parents can visit https://worcesterschools.org and fill out an online consent form.
Flu vaccines will also be available.
Students will receive doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in accordance with the FDA’s authorization.
For a schedule of upcoming community clinics, visit worcesterma.gov/coronavirus/vaccination. Local pharmacies and private practices will also carry and administer the COVID-19 vaccine.
Worcester to Host Groundbreaking at Coes Pond on Tuesday
The City of Worcester and the Department of Public Works and Parks will host a groundbreaking on a new parking lot and fully-accessible canoe and kayak launch at John J. Binienda Memorial Beach at Coes Pond on Tuesday, November 9 at 9 AM.
The project is being funded in part by a $400,000 grant through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities (PARC) grant program.
Bridge Fridge Hosting Free Food Drive Thru
To give thanks during National Gratitude Month, the Bridge Fridge in Southbridge is hosting a Free Food Drive Thru.
The Bridge Fridge has partnered with Renaissance Medical Group Here Today Adopted Tomorrow Animal Sanctuary Christian Jeep Association – Central & Western Massachusetts Chapter #18 and Angels Answer, Inc to host the event on Saturday, November 13 at Renaissance Medical Group on Sandersdale Road in Southbridge.
There will be free food for pets too.
All Systems Go is Hosting 90s Night
On Friday night, esports bar All Systems Go is hosting a 90s Night. The event will feature a DJ playing 90s hits, glow sticks, ring pops and classic 90s video games like “Just Dance 2020,” “Super Mario 64,” “Spyro The Dragon,” “Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time,” and more.
The party starts at 8 PM. The event is free and 18+.
Dunkin’ Giving Free Donuts to Veterans and Active Military on Veterans Day
Dunkin’ is giving all veterans and active military a free donut of their choice on Thursday, November 11 at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide, no purchase necessary.
The offer is valid in-store only and one donut per guest. No ID is required.
