WORCESTER – A man reportedly showing a firearm to people on the street on Sunday, April 24, led to the arrest of a local man on gun charges.
Police responded to the King Street area around 11 AM on Sunday and located Ramon Aviles, 46, of Worcester, who matched the description provided in the report.
According to the Worcester Police Department, officers approached Aviles and ordered him to show his hands. Inside his jacket pocket, officers located what appeared to be a loaded handgun.
Aviles did not have a license to carry a firearm.
Aviles faces charges of:
- Possession of a Firearm without a License to Carry;
- Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm; and
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
