Worcester Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking, Firearm

WORCESTER – A search warrant served by police in Worcester led to the arrest of a man on drug trafficking and firearms charges on Monday, Feb. 12.

Police reported to Ericsson Street and identified Desmond Chambers, 55, of Worcester, pull into the driveway at around 3 PM. Upon detaining Chambers, police say they identified several bags of what they believed to be cocaine in his pocket.

After entering the residence, the police say they also located cocaine, fentanyl test strips, cash, and a firearm on top of the refrigerator.

Chambers does not have a license to carry firearms, according to police. He faces charges of:

  • Trafficking in a Class B Substance (Cocaine) 36-99 Grams;
  • Possession of a Firearm Without an FID Card;
  • Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card;
  • Possession of a High Capacity Feeding Device;
  • Improper Storage of a Firearm; and
  • Possession of a Firearm in the Use of a Felony.
