Charlton PD Arrest Auburn Man, Holden Woman on Drug, Gun Charges

CHARLTON – Police responded to Smith Road for a report of a suspicious vehicle on Thursday, July 7, leading to the arrest of a 20-year-old man from Auburn and a 21-year-old woman from Holden on gun and drug charges.

Officers arrived at the scene and spoke to two individuals in a vehicle. Police say that a firearm was observed during the interaction, which led to the two individuals being detained.

Police say they secured a .45 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun and observed signs of drug activity, leading to the deployment of a drug sniffing K9. K9 Dozer alerted officers to a small hidden box inside the vehicle that allegedly had cocaine inside it.

The names of the arrested individuals were not released.

Both the Auburn man and Holden woman faces charges of:

  • Carrying a firearm without a license;
  • Possession of a class B drug;
  • Possession to distribute a class B drug;
  • Possession of ammunition without a FID card;
  • Defacing a firearm serial number;
  • Receiving stolen property under $1200;
  • Possession of a firearm in a felony;
  • Possession of a loaded firearm; and
  • Improper storage of a firearm.

Both were held on $15,000 bail and will be arraigned in Dudley District Court on Friday.
