39-Year-Old Worcester Man Sentenced for Cocaine Distribution

WORCESTER – A local man was sentenced in federal court in Worcester on drug charges.

Angel Cordova, 39, of Worcester, received a sentence of five years in prison and four years of supervised release. Cordova pleaded guilty in December 2021 to conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.

Authorities intercepted communications in March 2019 that led them to believe Cordova and at least five others to buy significant quantities of cocaine and distribute it in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. According to federal prosecutors, the co-conspirators were Junior Melendez Juan Rodriguez, Antoine Mack, Kevin Jean, and Carlos Richards.

From March to June 2019, investigators identified over four kilograms of cocaine that Melendez either purchased or sold. Authorities seized over 300 grams in New Hampshire in My 2019.

Rodriguez and Jean were convicted after a jury trial. Rodriguez was sentenced to 52 months in prison and Jean was sentenced to 40 months in prison. Antoine Mack pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 54 months in prison. Melendez pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 156 months in prison.

Richards remains a fugitive.
