One Dead, One In Custody After Serious Crash In Auburn 1

One man is dead and another man is in custody following a three-car crash at about 1:45 p.m. today near 475 Washington St. in Auburn.

A Ford Explorer crossed the double-yellow line on Washington Street and struck a Toyota Tacoma and Jeep Grand Cherokee in the wrong lane of travel. One passenger in the Jeep was transported to the UMass-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester and was pronounced dead. The driver of the Jeep was injured and admitted to UMass.

The driver of the Explorer, who had outstanding warrants, was injured and is in custody at UMass.

No other information is currently available.
