Delta Airlines — with daily, non-stop flights between Worcester and Detroit — will soon give your pets the opportunity to travel in style.
Last week, Delta launched the CarePod, a state-of-the-art pet travel carrier with features like real-time updates and built-in hydration system.
Although initially the CarePod carrier will be offered exclusively at Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York (JFK and LaGuardia), San Francisco and West Palm Beach, Delta plans to roll out the pet travel carrier across their entire U.S. network, including flights to and from Worcester.

Here are some of the safety features of the CarePod pet travel carrier:
- Stronger, industrial strength walls that are insulated to protect your pet against potential temperature fluctuations when moving between different climates and travel conditions.
- Multi-layered windows and doors with specially angled blinds to help create a calming environment for pets by blocking out visual stress from unfamiliar environments.
- A powerful, enterprise level GPS tracking and monitoring system that connects your pet’s journey directly to the specialized Delta Cargo Control Center.

Daily round-trip Delta flights leave Worcester to Detroit at 4:15 PM, landing in Detroit at 6:25 PM. Return flights from Detroit to Worcester depart at 1:45 PM and land in Worcester at 3:41 PM.
