WORCESTER – The City of Worcester’s Department of Public Works and Parks are reviewing six conceptual designs for the parcel at 149 West Boylston Dr.

The designs are submitted by  the University of Massachusetts Amherst College of Social & Behavioral Sciences and Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning.

The six designs will be presented at a public meeting on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6 PM at the Greendale YMCA on Shore Drive. Neighbors and local residents will be able to review the proposed designs and provide feedback on the designs or parts of the designs they prefer.

Feedback from the public meeting will then be used to create a single conceptual plan civil engineer and landscape architectural firm Beals & Thomas, Inc. for future public meetings.

The project’s first public meeting was held last month.

The four-acre parcel on West Boylston Drive was cleared in early 2021. The property sits below the I-190 retaining wall.
