DUDLEY – Jose Herrera, a 52-year-old man from Dudley, was arrested in Connecticut on an outstanding warrant for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenager four years ago.
Connecticut police returned Herrera to Massachusetts. His arraignment took place by teleconference from the Dudley Police Department on April 17.
Herrera faces the following charges:
- Four counts of rape of a child aggravated by more than 10 years age difference
- Two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 years old or older
- One count of witness intimidation
If Herrera posts $10,000 bail, he’ll be under orders to wear a GPS monitor at home and only permitted to attend medical and legal appointments. He’s also not to have unsupervised contact with children under 18 years of age.
A probable cause hearing on the case will be held May 5.
