Five Worcester Police Officers to Be Promoted to Sergeant

WORCESTER – On Tuesday, March 12, the Worcester Police Department will hold a promotion ceremony for five officers.

The five officers will be sworn in and take their oaths before family members and colleagues. Officers being promoted to Sergeant are:

Officer Michael Dowd

Officer Thomas Dowd

Officer Ryan Maher

Officer William Pero

Officer Lauren Voellings

The ceremony will take place in the Levi Lincoln Chamber at City Hall at 4 PM.

City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr., Mayor Joseph M. Petty, Councilor Kate Toomey, Chair of Public Safety and Chief Steven M. Sargent will preside over the ceremony.
