WORCESTER – A water main break on Goddard Memorial Drive caused water to nearby homes turned off and a traffic detour on Friday afternoon.
The southbound lane of Goddard Memorial Drive from Parson Hill Drive to Apricot Street is closed. A detour moves southbound traffic onto the northbound lane.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area. The Worcester Department of Public Works and Parks is working to resolve the water main break.
The city has not provided an estimated time for resolution.
