Hanover Theatre Summer Program Enrollment Now Open

WORCESTER – The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory’s summer programs are now open for enrollment.

The Hanover offers four programs this summer with programs for children as young as seven years old through those entering freshman year in college.

Dance Intensive Week

For students ages 7 to 12.

Students ages 7-12 will study the fundamental stages of classical ballet while also gaining exposure to newer genres of dance such as jazz, flamenco, dance improvisation and contemporary.

Dance Intensive Week runs August 12 to August 16, from 9:30 AM to 1 PM. Tuition is $300.

Teen Musical Theatre Intensive

For teens entering grades 9 through college freshmen in fall 2024.

The Hanover’s teen program, entering its 16th year, is a three-week program designed for students seeking a pre-professional experience. Teens attend daily morning classes focusing on music, drama, and dance as well as afternoon rehearsals for a final production.

The Teen Musical Theatre Intensive has two sessions:

• Session I: July 8 to July 27 – 9 AM to 3 PM. Performances take place July 26 and July 27.
• Session II: July 29 to August 17 – 9 Am to 3 PM. Performance take place August 16 and August 17.

Pre-Teen Musical Theatre Intensive

For students entering grades 4-8 in fall 2024.

The Hanover’s pre-teen program, for students looking for focused, fast-paced theatre training, introduces students to the joy of participating in a show. Students work intensely with a director, choreographer and music director over the course of three weeks to perform a junior production of a Broadway show. This is an intensive program which works at a fast pace and expects students to be flexible, adaptable, responsible, focused and capable of handling a high sensory environment.

The Hanover’s Pre-Teen Musical Theatre Intensive runs July 22 through August 10, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Children’s Youth Summer Program

For children entering grades 1-3 in fall 2024.

The children’s program offers students opportunities to learn and explore the world of musical theatre. Daily classes feature theatre games, dance combinations, music appreciation, singing, visual arts and much, much more.
