WORCESTER – The Holy Cross football team will again host the EBW Classic at Polar Park on September 30, 2023, when the Crusaders host the Harvard University Crimson.
The date tickets go on sale or a kickoff time was not released. Holy Cross season ticket holders have tickets included in their package. Worcester Red Sox season ticket holders will have access to a pre-sale.
Holy Cross has dominated play at Polar Park, beating Colgate 42-10 in 2021 in front of a sold-out crowd` of 9.508. In 2022, Holy Cross shut out Bucknell 57-0 in front of 7,658.
Holy Cross football is coming off its most winning season in its history, finishing 12-1 and 6-0 in its conference. The team also won its fourth straight Patriot League championship in its 2022 campaign. Quarterback Matthew Sluka and receiver Jalen Coker, who were both named to the All-Patriot League first team offense, are back for their senior year in 2023.
The football programs at Harvard and Holy Cross have met 73 times, with Harvard holding the advantage with a 45-26-2 record. The last time the two met, in October 2022 at Harvard, Holy Cross won 30-21.
