WORCESTER – The I-290 westbound exit ramp at Kelley Square in Worcester will be closed Thursday night into early Friday morning.
According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation [MassDOT], the exit ramp will be closed from 9 PM on Thursday to 5 AM on Friday as Eversource does utility work in the area.
The ramp will only be closed for one evening, according to MassDOT.
If you’re traveling westbound on I-290, MassDOT suggests taking Exit 14 [Rt.122] to access Kelley Square on Thursday evening.
Here’s what’s happening at Kelley Square this week:
Construction company JH Lynch will have two crews working on Madison Street doing conduit work from Washington St. to Green St. and Washington St. to Gold St.
During the course of the week, police details, changes in lane marking, barriers and traffic cones, and signage will all be present in the Madison St. area while work is conducted.
Another crew will be working near the on and off-ramps of I-290 at the Kelley Square exit [Exit 13].
All crews will be working this week every day from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
