Two Streets off Worcester’s Kelley Square to Reverse Direction in May

WORCESTER – The Kelley Square Improvement Project has announced that two streets will permanently reverse direction in just a few months. 

During the first full week of May, Millbury St. and the south end of Harding St. will reverse their directions.

Today, traffic on the south end of Harding St. runs from Kelley Sq. towards Crompton Park and Quinsigamond Ave. and traffic on Millbury St. moves towards Kelley Square.

In May, traffic flow will reverse — with Harding St. opening up into Kelley Sq. and Millbury St. taking traffic towards Quinsigamond Ave.

The one-way reversal will occur between the hours of 2 AM and 5 AM in a single night.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation [MassDOT] will undertake a “substantial” outreach program between now and the first week of May, including a public information meeting, multiple flyers and updates on the Kelley Sq. project website.
