WORCESTER – Police arrested two men on firearms charges early Sunday morning after a report of gunfire.
Officers responded to Birch Street shortly before 4 AM to find four vehicles and a residence damaged by gunfire. Police reported no injuries.
The investigation developed information on a suspected vehicle in connection to the shots fired. That vehicle was located around 9 AM near Maywood Street and Birch Street.
Police conducted a traffic stop and detained two individuals inside the vehicle. A handgun was located inside the vehicle. Neither of the two in the vehicle has a license to carry a firearm.
Nakia Lane, 48, of Worcester, faces charges of Carrying a Firearm without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Armed Career Criminal, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License.
Joshua Arce, 34, of Worcester, faces a charge of Carrying a Firearm without a License.
