The 400 soldiers from the Massachusetts National Guard deployed to Washington D.C. in January are home after 10 weeks supporting public safety.
Governor Charlie Baker approved the 10-week mission on January 25. He authorized for up to 700 soldiers available to support the mission.
The Massachusetts National Guard supported the second phase of a federally funded mission for public safety in Washington D.C.
There are not further plans to deploy additional units to Washington at this time.
