Worcester Man Arrested on Warrant Faces New Drug Charges

WORCESTER - A US Marshals Fugitive Task Force that included Massachusetts State Troopers and a Worcester Police Officer reported to a Beacon St. home around 9 AM on Tuesday, April 13.

The suspect, Luis Torres, 43, was the subject of an outstanding warrant for many firearms charges and other crimes. During the arrest, officers located substances they believed to be cocaine and heroin in significant quantities, a handgun and ammunition.

Torres does not have a license to possess firearms.

In addition to the outstanding warrant, Torres faces charges of:

  • Trafficking in Heroin
  • Trafficking in Cocaine
  • Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm
  • Possession of Ammunition without an FID
  • Improper Storage of a Firearm
