LEOMINSTER – The Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit, assisted by Troopers from the State Police-Leominster Barracks and Leominster officers, arrested two men, believed to be members of the Worcester based Providence Street Posse gang, and a woman on Tuesday, November 17.

Troopers located Stephon Jones, 33, of Fitchburg, inside the Whitney Field Mall in Leominster. Jones was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Troopers found a small quantity of heroin and more than $1,400 cash in the possession of Jones.

Before the arrest, Troopers observed a second individual, Benjamin Rosado, 23, of Leominster, with Jones. Rosado is also believed to be a member of the Providence Street Posse gang.

Shortly after arresting Jones, Troopers saw Rosado outside the mall in a t-shirt in cold temperatures.

Lucia Cardozo, 25, of Gardner, was holding Rosado’s jacked. Troopers believed Cardozo was attempting to hide something.

During the investigation, Troopers located a loaded Colt pistol inside the jacket.

Neither Rosado nor Cardozo are licensed to carry a firearm.

All three individuals were in custody and facing numerous charges.
