WORCESTER – Worcester Public Schools are closed on Tuesday, Jan. 6, due to inclement weather. Other municipal locations will also be closed on Tuesday, including the Worcester Senior Center, at 128 Providence St., as well as the Worcester Public Library’s branch locations at Roosevelt, Goddard, Tatnuck Magnet, and Burncoat elementary schools.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), residents should expect mixed precipitation with total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulation of a light glaze. Commuters should expect hazardous conditions that could impact travel. Reducing speed and extra caution on the roads is advised.
The NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory across northern Connecticut, central, eastern, and northeastern Massachusetts, and northern and southern Rhode Island.
Due to inclement weather, the Worcester Senior Center, the @worcesterpublic, and the @Worcester_PL Burncoat, Goddard, Roosevelt, and Tatnuck Magnet branches will be closed Tuesday, January 16.
