Two Men Arrested in Worcester for Cocaine, Fentanyl Distribution

WORCESTER – The Worcester Police Department announced on Monday the arrest of two men on drug distribution charges.

Vice Squad officers were near Boylston Street on Friday, March 22, in response to complaints about drug transactions in the area. After believing they witnessed a transaction, officers stopped a vehicle.

The driver, Juan Otero, 41, and Owen Alicea, 27, were removed from the vehicle. The search led to the discovery of what officers believed was both cocaine and fentanyl in Alicea’s possession. Inside the vehicle, both used and unused bags, a digital scale, and a bottle of a cutting agent were found.

Both Otero and Alicea face charges of:

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute A Class A Substance;
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance;
  • Trafficking a Class B Substance 18-36g (19g); and
  • Distribution Of a Class B Substance.
