Worcester’s Ricky Duran to Release New Single on Dec. 4

WORCESTER – Grafton native and last winter’s NBC’s The Voice runner-up Ricky Duran will be releasing a new single in early December.

The new single “She Closed Her Eyes” will be released on December 4 and, less than a week later, Duran will be hosting a livestream performance on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 7 PM.

Duran will perform an hour-long live show from the Continental Club in Austin, TX [For ticket info scroll down].

Duran told ThisWeekinWorcester.com he will be performing the new single “She Closed Her Eyes,” a few songs he performed on The Voice, and some other new, unreleased songs that he aims to release an EP in early 2021.

The song “She Closed Her Eyes” is a tribute in memory of Duran’s mother, Odette.

During the live performance, Duran will be backed up by drummer Mike Braz (formerly of Worcester’s Blue Light Bandits), bassist Dakota Colby, guitarist Billy Blunt, and keyboardist Jon Deas (Gary Clark Jr. Band).

Duran’s show at Worcester’s Hanover Theatre has been rescheduled multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but is currently scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 2021.
