WORCESTER - Worcester Public Schools [WPS] announced on Sunday, June 6, that schools will dismiss students three hours early on Monday, June 7, and Tuesday, June 8.

The decision for early dismissal originates from high temperatures expected on both Monday and Tuesday in Worcester.

WPS also cited that the use of water fountains in all schools remains prohibited because of COVID-19 guidance. It also noted that several schools do not contain air conditioning.
