Shrewsbury Man Faces Manslaughter Charges in 2019 Assault

WORCESTER – The office of Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early said Tony Sacco, 39, Shrewsury, has been indicted for involuntary manslaughter.

Sacco admits that he pulled John Riordan, 58, Worcester out of his bed at his Worcester home and struck him several times in May 2019.

When Sacco returned to the home the next morning Mr. Riordan was unresponsive and called for police for help.

In May 2019 Sacco was charged with aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury and assault as well as battery with a dangerous weapon.

Sacco was held on $50,000 bail after his indictment on the previous charges.
