WORCESTER – The National Weather Service [NWS] has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Worcester area beginning Saturday and into Sunday morning.
The Winter Storm Watch is in effect from 7 AM on Saturday, December 5 to 7 AM on Sunday, December 6.
The NWS says heavy snow is possible with up to 4 to 7 inches of snowfall.
Saturday morning’s rain could change to snow Saturday afternoon and there is the potential for heavy snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour.
The snow is expected to taper off late Saturday night.
