WORCESTER – Following Monday and Tuesday’s heavy rainfall, the National Weather Service [NWS] expects up to six inches of snow to fall starting Tuesday night and into Wednesday.
According to NWS, rain and snow is likely before midnight on Tuesday, followed by snow and sleet between midnight and 2 AM. NWS expects new snow accumulations between one and two inches overnight.
The forecast calls for the snow to continue through the morning on Wednesday with another two to four inches possible.
The new snowfall comes just a week after the city saw nearly a foot and a half of snow fall over a three-day period.
