A woman left her purse in a Shaw’s supermarket shopping cart in Sturbridge on Tuesday, July 7. Sturbridge Police is asking for help to identify the man who may have left the store with it.

The woman was inside the store and left between noon and 1 PM.

Video surveillance captured a man leading the cart with the purse a short time later. After a short stay in the store, the man left through the main entrance.

The male suspect was wearing a unique baseball cap – patriotic with red, white and blue – and appears to have a tattoo or mark on his right upper arm.

If anyone was in the area, has any information or can identify the male party, please contact the investigating officer, Officer Murray at the Sturbridge Police Department, 508-347-2525.
