WORCESTER – The Worcester Police made an arrest on Saturday, June 29, after observing a vehicle fail to make a complete stop at the intersection of Queen and Shepard streets.

According to the WPD, Jesse Knight, 35, of 93 Arthur St., was operating a Nissan Rogue when he was pulled over. The officer ran the vehicle’s information through CJIS which revealed that the plate didn’t match the vehicle.

When the officer turned his blue lights on to stop the vehicle, Knight jumped into the back seat.

The officer discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen earlier in the day.

Knight’s right to operate a motor vehicle was revoked in Massachusetts. He was placed under arrest and charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Operating After Suspension/Revocation of License, Illegally Attaching Motor Vehicle Plates and a Stop Sign Violation.

He was transported to the station by the wagon for booking. He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
