Tree House Brewing’s ‘Julius’ Named Top Beer in MA

A Central Massachusetts brewery continues to receive praise from all over the country.

On Monday, travel and entertainment website Thrillist.com released their list of the top beers in every state, and Tree House Brewing Co.’s “Julius” (6.8% ABV) was listed first among the top beers in Massachusetts. 

Here’s what Thrillist said about Julius: “When your brewery becomes so popular that you have to open a brand new multi-million dollar facility to keep up with demand in the span of less than a decade, you know you’re on to something with your beer. Those long lines you still see forming out in Monson have a lot to do with how well this delicious juicy IPA drinks.”

The brewery was founded Brimfield in 2011 and moved to Monson in 2013.  The brewery moved to Charlton in May 2017.

Earlier this year, Tree House Brewing Co. was named in the Top 10 Best Breweries in America by Zymurgy Magazine’s Best Beers and Breweries in America list and was listed among the 50 fastest growing craft breweries in the United States by the Brewers Association.

Earlier this month, we reported that Tree House has the most check-in among breweries in the U.S. on the Untappd app in 2019 with more than 1.1 million check-ins.

Two other Massachusetts beers made Thrillist’s list, including Trillium Fort Point Pale Ale (6.6%) and  Jack’s Abby Post Shift Pils (4.7%).
